What are common faults in pickleball?

Last verified 2026-06-01

Faults include balls hit out, net errors on serve, kitchen violations, and letting the ball double-bounce on your side.

Foot faults on serve, touching the net during play, and volleying before the double-bounce sequence are everyday recreational faults. On crowded courts, re-serves on lets are sometimes allowed by local agreement — confirm house rules.
