Weekend pickleball without driving in Toronto
· 5 min read

Several major parks close to private vehicles on weekends and holidays — High Park is the example we document most clearly. If you only check distance on a map, you can lose an hour to gates and shuttles.
Default plan: Line 2 to High Park or Keele for that cluster, or choose waterfront and downtown-adjacent courts you can reach by TTC or bike. Courlo court pages include transit notes when we have them.
Biking works well for lakefront and core-park courts in shoulder seasons; lock properly and bring nets if the pad is BYO.
If you must drive, read parking sections carefully — paid seasonal lots, permit streets, and event closures are all common. Weekdays often have easier vehicle access where parks allow cars at all.
